What are some keywords worth to you as an Internet Marketer

I just at random typed in this phrase and there I am #1 out of 1 million, I got excited, did analysis of the phrase offline business marketing for attorneys and found the term got a not enough data, which translates into few is any people are searching for this term, so don’t get in an uproar.

I did note that there are advertisers for this term so it will stay up there, maybe I will add adsense blocks and generate a little revenue that way.  I possibly will find a variation of the keyword phrase that does have more searches for it.  I must remember this was just a random search I did, the pages are optimized for other search term that are better for driving traffic to my site or to some lucky lawyers site.

Local Marketing Strategies for Chicago Lawyers

We have seen how local marketing strategies can change for different locations now lets compare the Chicago Attorneys and Lawyers.

First of all the search numbers are down for Lawyers in Chicago, but just when I told you yesterday that the good people of Chicago did not seem to be drinking more and getting those nasty DUIs, look here, we have 400% increase in searches for a DUI lawyer.  If I was a DUI attorney in Chicago, I’d sort of change my name to lawyer and adjust my advertising so I’d showed up as DUI layers.  The main point is to adjust your local marketing strategies both online and offline so you can maximize your potential client base.  The actual conversion to a customer will of course depend on the lawyers staff and how competent they are in sales.  Yes Virginia we all must sell ourselves.

Offline Business Marketing for Lawyers

Yesterday it was the attorney, today it is time to look at offline business marketing for lawyers, what!  you say, that’s got to be the same thing, you’d kind of suppose so, but apparently not to the general public. Lets look at the stats again this time for lawyers.

Remember I told you to note the medical malpractice stats for attorneys, well apparently their stats were down because people wanted a medical malpractice lawyer instead, now this could be a mistake but perhaps with all this talk of a health care bill and limiting medical malpractice lawsuit amounts, people are scrambling to get some of their doctors money.  Do you think perhaps people want a good old hard fighting lawyer to go after Doc, not some three piece suit, mamby pamby attorney at law?  What the hell is that attorney at law crap any way?  Do ever see or hear of a farmer at farm , plumber at plumbing, logger at log, just don’t make sense, but since when do most of the laws we have make any sense.

As you can see the keywords searched for, are similar for both layers and attorneys however your offline business marketing should take both terms into accoung for the best results.

Offline Business Marketing for Attorneys

Yesterday we started looking at all the different Attorney ads in the Yellow Pages.  If you want to do some offline business marketing for attorneys, using the internet, let’s look at what people are looking for.

Wow it appears that Joe average in America is is seeing an attorney about a bankruptcy about twice as often last month of statistics as per the normal monthly average.  Makes sense with all the housing problems and  lack of good paying jobs.  Could this be a trend that you could exploit either for your self if you are an attorney, or as an offline business marketer?

Oh my the divorce attorneys are also operating at twice norm, and look at the criminal attorney searches five times normal gee that does not sound good.  The DUI attorney searches are up 50%, kind of reads like a soap opera, you know we now have this couple filing for bankruptcy the guy goes out gets a DUI, gets bailed out of jail by the wife they go home a scuffle takes place, he’s back in jail on domestic abuse charges and while he cools off in his cell, the wive sees an attorney about a divorce, he contacts a criminal defense attorney so he can get out of the pokey and oh yeah loses his job since it is real hard to work from his cell, what with no WIFI and all.

I’m sorry I just get carried away, but some times statistics can help you set the tone and focus of your offline business marketing, if you are an attorney these may be some areas that you can shift some advertising dollars to.  As a marketer tweak your marketing to take advantage of these apparent trends, I say apparent as more research can help.

Note: the “medical malpractice attorney” searches are down over 50%  we will look at this later, very interesting….

As you may have read yesterday, we are using the Yellow Pages to assist us in our offline business marketing.  I was going to rip right through all the big money ads and come up with the standard list of catagories like:

• Doctors oops again they are now Physicians

Well you get the idea, well we are still on the Attorney category, we did:

Boy how would you like to advertise for these characters to come come tromping in your front door?  Well some Attorneys are, so do you think there is a bit of money available here?  Do you think that they could use a good online business marketer to help them with their offline business marketing?  Like how hard could it be to rank in Google for these keywords if you added your city, parish, county, state or zip code to them?  Maybe I’ll try that by adding:

Offline Marketing

Most business owners complain that half of their advertising budget is wasted, the problem is they just don’t know which half.   Offline marketing methods like the Yellow Pages and Newspaper ads are just hard to track the efficiency of conversions.

You know how about Google Analytics, Stat Counter or any of the other third party services for keeping statistics. You can prove to the prospect where their possible customers are coming from, what their behaviors are when they view a Web page and where they leave. No phone book can come close to that!

Instead of guessing if a display ad is performing well, your customer who has a Web page will have statistics to show what is working and what is not working. Using these statistics can also provide great market research for the client.

Your understanding of the offline marketing in the Yellow Page listings is just the beginning . You’ll have to cull out display ads like restaurants and other businesses that are working on a small profit margin. Just because a restaurant has a fullpage ad, doesn’t mean they’re making a big profit sometimes they have that big ad because the competition across the street has a big ad too.
